Why therapy?
Sometimes in life we need support and that's okay. Coming to that decision can be difficult and we may even feel insecure or afraid of starting therapy.
Keeping this in mind, I want to offer a space that is comfortable and welcoming - difficult feelings are common and I encourage you to reach out anyway.
Whether you are new to therapy or have had previous experience with it, you coming here today is already the most important step. I hope I can help guide you on your journey of personal growth and healing.
What to expect
01
We'll start with a quick chat on the phone so I can learn about what supports you may need. You'll be able to ask me any questions you have and I'll ask you for some basic information about why you're seeking therapy. If we feel we're a good fit, we'll schedule an online or in-person session.
02
In the first few sessions, I'll learn more about you and we will explore what you hope to gain out of your experience with therapy. Do you want a space to process your difficult emotions? Build healthier relationships with yourself and others? Or maybe learn useful skills to improve your overall wellbeing?
03
Each person's therapy journey looks different, so the number and lengths of sessions will vary depending on your needs. For some people, addressing an immediate concern may need a handful of sessions, while other people may need ongoing support for months or years depending on what they're working on. We can talk about this further to ensure you're getting the help you are looking for.
